Hoops of Hope: Sutton Brings Heart to Trust Basketball

What a fantastic afternoon at the Aletheia Trust Basketball Tournament! While Sutton-at-Hone finished in 9th place, we are incredibly proud of our team’s heart, effort, and determination throughout the competition. Every player gave it their all, and we learned valuable lessons that we will carry with us in the future.

The teams that participated were:

  1. St. Botolph’s – 1st Place
  2. Holy Trinity – 2nd Place
  3. Halling – 3rd Place
  4. Saint George’s – 4th Place
  5. Cliffe Woods – 5th Place
  6. Stone – 6th Place
  7. Rosherville – 7th Place
  8. Shorne – 8th Place
  9. Sutton – 9th Place
  10. All Stars – 10th Place

Although we did not make it to the top spots, Sutton-at-Hone played with passion and perseverance. Each game was a test of our resilience, and we fought until the very last whistle. Even though the scores didn’t go our way, we can walk away knowing we gave it our best. The effort from every player was remarkable, and the teamwork shown on and off the court was something we can all be proud of.

Congratulations to St. Botolph’s for taking home 1st place, Holy Trinity for securing 2nd, and Halling for claiming 3rd. Their performances were exceptional, and we respect the hard work and skill they brought to the court. The level of competition was high, and it pushed us to become better players and teammates.

Looking ahead, we are excited for the next event in the Aletheia Trust Games — Trust Rugby! We’ll take everything we’ve learned from basketball — resilience, teamwork, and determination — and carry it with us as we prepare for the rugby tournament. We can’t wait to bring the same energy and spirit to the rugby field! Congratulations to all the teams for their outstanding performances, and here’s to even more exciting events in the Aletheia Trust Games!
